What’s in a Name: A Writing Conundrum

So today I ran into a writing-related problem, and I was wondering if any writers out there had any advice for me. What do you do when someone has used a similar name or idea to something you’re working on in their own writing? For example, my main character in my work in progress novel is called The Traveler; however, I learned today that someone had written a novel called The Traveler. The two ideas are completely different; The Traveler in my novel is a man who is on the run from a tyrannical government, and “Travelers” in the novel I mentioned are people who can travel through different dimensions. However, since they have similar names, would that create any problems?

Looking forward to hearing what you have to say.
